Weekly Goals: Week of December 14

This week’s goals could be titled “A Procastinator’s Christmas To-Do List.”  In our house, we try to keep Christmas preparations simple -some music, a tree, movies, fasting, St. Nicholas Day celebrations, and family.  This week I’ll be doing some of the more detail-oriented tasks that need to get finished before Christmas next week (next week!).  How about you?  Are you an early planner or a last minute doer?

Last Week’s Goals

Spiritual

1. Pray Morning Prayers together 4 Days

2. Read II John, III John, and Jude

Professional

3. Turn in my Benchmark Data to my administrator (oh, the paperwork of teaching)

4. Submit the Manuscript for My Children’s Book to the publisher (Eeeek!)

Family/ Homemaking

5. Watch a Christmas movie as a family

6. Make paper snowflakes and snowflake tortillas as a family

7. Have Little Brother’s godparents over for his birthday dinner (postponed this due to Little Brother’s illness)

Personal

8. Run 2 times (a total of 5 miles)

9. Read 2 books (I finished The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus this past week.)

10.  Have a technology free night

This Week’s Goals

Faith:

1. Pray together as a family 5 times

2. Read 10 chapters of the book of Revelation

Professional:

3. Write a guest post for another blog

4. Finish two assignments for Elite Blog Academy

Family/ Homemaking:

5. Write and mail Christmas cards

6. Purchase gifts for our children

7. Make list of Christmas cooking/ baking supplies needed

8. Bake Christmas cookies together as a family

Personal:

9. Run 2 times (5 miles total)

10. Read 2 books (I plan on finishing On Writing: Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King and Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain.)

Oh, don’t you worry! For as much as I’ve been planning all year, I still have plenty to do as well! The tree is finally up and decorated, but the bins of decorations aren’t back in the attic yet. I’ve made 2 batches of buckeyes, but still need to make at least another 2. And most of the Christmas presents are purchased, but they are spread over the spare bedroom floor, waiting to be wrapped. We still have 10 days! 🙂
