Weekly Goals June 1

I have a confession to make.  I pretty much let my housework go this week.  My husband left for his conference in Greece, and I’ve just been trying to stay afloat with work and kids.  I tip my hat to all of you single parents out there, as well as those who have spouses deployed or away for work for extended periods of time.  This week has been tough!

Despite the difficult week, I managed to complete several of my goals from last week.

Last week’s goals:

Spiritual:

1. Pray the Morning Prayers together 5 mornings (I am so excited about how much better we are doing on this front since implementing our new morning routine!)

2. Finish the book of Romans

Professional:

3. Complete and submit all grades for the final quarter

4. Finish my portfolio and schedule an appointment with my principal

Family/ Homemaking:

5. Organize and clean the hall closet

6. Sort through kids’ toys, throwing away or donating ones that do not get played with anymore

7. Have an in-house date night with my husband before he goes to Greece

8. Play a board game one evening with Big Brother and Sister

Personal:

9. Read 2 books (I’ve started Laura Vanderkam’s All the Money in the World and am enjoying it so far!) (I actually managed to read three books this week!  Though, whenever I am stressed or lonely, I do tend to read a lot…)

10. Take one evening to completely unwind–no work or computer allowed!

Because my husband will be gone until Thursday evening, I am keeping my goals for this week pretty simple.

This Week’s Goals:

Spiritual

1. Pray the Morning Prayers together 5 mornings

2. Finish the book of Romans

Professional

3. Say a personal, heartfelt good-bye to each of my wonderful students

Family/ Homemaking

4. Give the house a thorough clean before my husband gets home

5. Have the kids make “Welcome Home Daddy” signs and cards

6. Play a board game with Big Brother and Sister

7. Read to the kids 4 nights

Personal

8. Read 2 books

9. Be in bed by 10 each night (I’ve been pretty bad about staying up late this week.)

10. Complete all blog posts by Thursday so that I can spend time with my husband when he returns

What are your goals for the week?
