Seasons of the Faith:
Helping Your Family Celebrate the Feasts and Fasts of the Church
Like you, I am busy. I am a wife, a mother to three little ones, a full-time teacher, and a writer. There are days when I am lucky if I move the laundry to the dryer before it starts to mildew! So I felt overwhelmed at the thought of trying to integrate the Church calendar into my home life. One more thing to add to my to-do list? No, thank you.
Then I realized that by matching my family’s rhythm to the rhythm of the Church, I actually had more room to breathe. I was able to slow down and focus on what was really important. Even in the midst of the busy, I felt the peace that comes from finding the “one thing needful.”
I know so many Orthodox parents who are just like me. They long for a deeper connection to life of the Church, but they don’t know where to start. That is what Seasons of the Faith is for. I want to share with you what I have learned through research, guidance from my spiritual father, conversations with older and wiser parents, and years of trial and error.

About the Author
Hi! I’m Sarah, the mom behind The Orthodox Mama, where I write about faith, family, and frugal living. My mission is to help women live out the ancient faith in the modern world.
I am a middle school teacher and writer. My favorite job, though, is being a wife to my husband Dan and mama to our three young children. We love going to parks, playing dress-up, and reading tons of books! We also enjoy time with our parish family at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Q: Will I receive a physical book?
A: No. At this time, Seasons of the Faith is a digital product only. That means that you will receive a PDF eBook in your inbox that you can open and access immediately.
Q: I am not Orthodox. Will this book still apply to me?
A: Seasons of the Faith is designed for Orthodox families and uses the Orthodox Church calendar. With that said, many other Christian traditions also follow liturgical seasons. If your church observes feasts such as Easter, Christmas, and Pentecost, or if it observes fasts such as Lent, then this book may still have a lot of ideas for you. Even if you do not come from a Church tradition that follows a liturgical calendar, you can still learn!
Q: Do you offer a guarantee?
